Looking Ahead to the Future" at the First Baptist Deaf Church, Baton Rouge, LA on July, 2011.

"Praises on the Runway" Fashion Show
Communicating Thru Sign celebrated its 2nd Year Anniversary Celebration with a fashion show.  Models

were Deaf and hearing with three categories (Children, Adults, Couples).  Deaf couple Clifton & Myrtle Cowan were 1st place in the Couples category.  This event took place at the Baton Rouge Garden Center on August 2012.

 

 

 
"Bridging the Communication Gap Together" Signed Program
Communicating Thru Sign celebrated its 3rd Year Anniversary Celebration with a signed program by the

students that take sign language classes.  Senator Pro Tempore Sharon Weston Broome attended the event and presented the organization with a proclamation in its effors to increase awareness about Deaf culture and sign language.  

 

 

Annual Christmas Gala & Silent Auction

​Communicating Thru Sign celebrates at Christmas time a gathering of family, friends and supporters to an annual Christmas Gala and Silent Auction. Local businesses contribute with donations and monies raised are given to local charities and to the improvement of the organization for further growth and development.
